Beginning Your Sacred Journey

This journal is a blank slate for your personal magic. Here are a few ways to begin your journey.

1. Awakening Your Tome

Upon receiving your journal, find a quiet moment. Run your hands over the leather and the ‘XX’ stitching. State your intention to ‘bind and protect’ the knowledge you place within.
Write a dedication or a symbol of your purpose on the first page, formally claiming it as your own.

2. For Secrets, Sketches, and Reflections

Use it to record shadow work, private thoughts, or sketches from your travels. The secure strap and clasp ensure your entries remain for your eyes only.
The thick, handmade pages are perfect for writing spells, pressing herbs, or sketching sigils without fear of ink bleeding through.

Tools for Your Altar

Enhance your journaling rituals by pairing this grimoire with tools that amplify its energy.

A Calligraphy or Fountain Pen: The deliberate act of writing with a special pen can deepen your focus and make each entry feel more intentional.
Black Obsidian: Keep a piece of Black Obsidian nearby to create a protective shield, grounding your energy during deep spiritual or shadow work.

3. Preserving Your Legacy

With proper care, this journal will become a treasured artifact that chronicles your journey for a lifetime.

Leather Care: The genuine distressed leather is designed to show marks and scuffs, which add to its unique character. Keep it dry to preserve its integrity.
Protecting the Pages: Always use the leather strap and brass clasp to keep your journal securely closed, protecting the unique deckle edges of the paper.
Storage: Store your journal in a special, respectful place, like an altar or bookshelf, to honor the energy it holds.

Questions & Curiosities

Is the leather real?

Yes, absolutely. This journal is crafted from genuine distressed leather, often called ‘Hunter’ or ‘Crazy Horse’ leather. It’s designed to patina beautifully, picking up marks and scuffs that tell the story of your journey.

Can I use ink or paint on the pages?

The handmade cotton paper is thick and absorbent, making it ideal for fountain pens and various inks without bleed-through. It can also handle a light watercolor wash for artistic entries, making it a versatile canvas for any creator.

I had an issue with my original order, and I can honestly say this was some of the best customer service I’ve received in a long time. The team responded quickly, communicated clearly throughout the process, and corrected everything without hesitation. I live in Nevada and they’re located in Ohio, so I was especially impressed by how smoothly everything was handled from start to finish. They’re also the only shop I’ve been able to find that carries my favorite essential oils in the specific scent I love, which makes their service even more appreciated. The replacement arrived perfectly, and the extra item included was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch — it truly showed care and intention. Mistakes can happen anywhere; how they’re handled is what matters. VTrendz handled this beautifully. I’m very grateful for the swift correction, continued communication, and genuine customer care, and I’m absolutely looking forward to ordering again — and often.

This is my favorite place to shop whenever my husbae and I are in Ohio. The female owner has such a refreshing and peaceful energy about herself that it’s so enjoyable. No matter how long it had been since we last shop there, she remembers who we are and greets us so pleasantly and happy. She is always so very helpful and attentive to each and every customer making all of us feel important all at the same timetime. And each of her pieces are so unique and reasonably priced. So if you are looking for that “stand-out” piece, this is the place! You won’t be disappointed!!! Your forever customer!! See you next month…💞💞💞💞
